The Challenge
Kim worked on two separate projects for The Phoenix Symphony.
CAPACITY BUILDING:
The Phoenix Symphony is the largest performing arts organization in the State. It's success is a result of its talented artists and innovative leadership.
As in most arts organizations, securing the funds to invest in innovation can be a challenge.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT:
The Phoenix Symphony is a collection of sixty talented independent musicians. Creating a shared vision and mission is important to achieving Symphony success.
The Process
CAPACITY BUILDING: The Symphony and a community Foundation worked with Kim to conduct a capacity building assessment to analyze and support the organization's future capacity and growth to ensure the optimization and return on such an innovation investment.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: Symphony management requested Kim to build a customized leadership development skill-building training and shared experience workshop to bring its talented musicians together to achieve their next level of organizational excellence.
The Result
CAPACITY BUILDING
The Symphony was able to secure its innovation investment with the support of its capacity building assessment and is positioned for continued revenue and audience growth.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Kim curated a seven month skill-building leadership development program that focused on targeted new high-performance team skills and an action learning reflection approach to leadership development.
At the conclusion of the workshop, each participant expressed unforeseen personal and professional growth with the desire to continue their leadership journey.
